This series of work done by our 13 & 14 year old artists brings into focusendangered animals on our planet today. Each artist researched on a specific endangered animal and with that information, created a bold image using their ownhandwriting.

The Koala Bear (Phascolarctus Cinereus) is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. They are endangered because they were hunted for their pelts in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They also faced a loss of habitat caused by humans clearing bushland for farming, housing and more. The leaves that the Koalas eat contain toxins and are very low in nutrition, but high in fibrous matter. It takes a lot of energy to digest and they sleep up to 22 hours a day whilst digesting their food.
